No, this is not something used by Walter White to create the Blue...it is in fact something that you can use to create some tasty beer though. DME is short for Dried (or Dry) Malt Extract. It is basically just Liquid Malt Extract that has been treated through a special drying process to remove all the moisture.

"Dried Malt Extract has a longer shelf life than Liquid Malt Extract and is therefore a great source of malt to have around on brew-day in case you fall short of your targeted Starting Gravity. DME is also ideal for making yeast starters."
