After a recent (and very short) visit by my brother to Cape Town I felt the need to crack a good bottle I had lying around on one condition: I wanted honest feedback. Behold, my brother's feedback on the DPBC Vannie Hout:
"Close your eyes... give it a good sniff... taste it... and taste it again, because this is a new kind of taste experience when it comes to beer.
Easy drinking (with white wine aromas), but if you're not a fan of champagne, i would not recommend this one. It is a light beer with a very interesting and refreshing taste, perfect for the hot summer vibes. The white wine influence is very evident, surely a must for all lovers of chardonnay and beer alike.
Vannie Hout is like a good joke... dry, best shared around the dinner table and packs a little punch, of course."
