I must admit that I was pretty blown away by the strangely balanced taste of this beer - described as "stupidly hoppy...like taking a sip from a hop bag and then being hit in the face with a bag of hops" - as it is pretty bitter and hoppy, but still manages to show good malty character and a fullish mouth-feel followed by that infamous bitterness I was expecting and then some. Another characteristic that I enjoyed about this beer is the rather lasting head it maintained which helped to carry the fruity aroma and infuse it so delicately with the malty undertones.
A beer that is this bold deserves to be enjoyed whilst you are sitting down and have nothing else to distract you allowing you to take in all its flavors - both on the nose and the tongue. Too bad I only bought two of these bottles...but then again, I am a huge hop head...
